Sea Temperature: warm

Max Speed: 28.6 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered:

Quite a few out on a fine day, with 7.5M the choice for me, but as I finished rigging the wind filled in so 6.5M had to go on - pain in the ass. All the sailors quickly switched rigs and it was fast but rough on the outside. My mast foot pop out and was in the water 20mins, then my boom snap on the way out luckily and the gybe in was clean.
I thought this was going to be a disaster but the TABOU ROCKET 69 is a great board because it should have bounce all over the place in that chop, but it gave me some fanstastic balls out run on the flatter water on the inner. The Gps went 28.6 kts on the last 20 mins and I wasn't flat out.
Strawberry decided I wasn't going to past him on a balls out run out, and just like Neil H as I went pass he crank the power on the CRACK! another mast bites the dust!! had to get the coast guard for my mate alas.
I have been chopping and changing boards last year and this year to find the perfect 2 boards, they are
TABOU ROCKET 145L for light to mod
TABOU ROCKET 69 for anything else to 6M
wont change for a while now!!
